I have a Toyota 1F1 code Cosmo Silver
From my research it is a 3 stage paint.
My PPG dealer made basecoat 1st Stage for me but had no 2nd Stage(Midcoat) or other advice.
I'd like to make it as close as possible.
Not sure what to do.
I experiemented and put a little of the Silver in some clearcoat and sprayed it out to try and make a pearl effect of a Midcoat.
Seemed to make the effect I wanted but haven't done paint job yet.
What are others doing???
Make Midcoat(Stage 2 of 3) paint? Toyota 1F1

Order the paint from someone who can mix both stages for you.
Try Chad's Auto Rod Technologies and ask for a quote on the Toyota 1F1 paint in Motobase LV. http://www.autorodtechnologies.com/ 1968 Coronet R/T

trying to play chemist I have also tried mixing B/C with clear and it never worked very well, as it did back in the lacquer days. the base coat is a different breed than the clear and they don't like to play with one another.
