Hi all, i'm new here and have been reading and searching about auto paint on this forum since i joined.

After spending lots of hour here i quickly realized that i need to take my car to paint shop instead of DIY.

Per my car data card, i have color code "650U CALCITE WHITE - STANDARD FINISH"
I'm the second owner since 2010.
About a year ago i start to notice that the color start little bit more yellow on the front bumper, hood, front left fender and both front and rear left door.
Now, clear coat/paint on the hood start to peel in couple area.

I have couple questions before taking to paint shop for quote. Just want to be prepare when the shops try to explain things.

How can i tell or find out if my car has PEARL WHITE or just white color?
What's the process of painting pearl white car compare to just white color car?

Thanks,

Having the year and make of the vehicle will help determine the correct color code match.

A white will simply be a base coat applied and then clear coat.

A pearl white will have a base white color applied first and then a pearl coat followed by clear coat. (Note: It may require more than one coat of pearl to achieve proper color.)
