A pic of where I stand so far. That’s if I can figure out how to post it. All sanded with 400 and smooth. I just have to clean it and wipe it down, then tack before I paint it. Quick 2 questions tho, I can see, in certain light, the 400 grit scratches. Is that normal? Will the bc cover them? Not sure why the image is sideways. Ugh! It’s normal in my album Also, the white spots on the hood are the OEM paint I’m just a squirrel, trying to get a nut

P400 is a bit too coarse, even for solid white. P600 would be much better.
The stand is made by a Vietnamese bloke who used to own a panel shop and sold to start designing stands that really suit a painter's needs. That one was one of his first designs and is a bit light. We have a bar stand that is even better. Chris

Dang! Could have sworn 400 was the way to go. Off to do more sanding So those stands are not available? That’s what your saying Chris I’m just a squirrel, trying to get a nut
