Hi all,
I’m new to this and attempting to paint some trim pieces before putting them on my car. I ordered an aerosol can of touch-up paint for this task and unfortunately the color is not at all a match for my car’s color from the factory.
I have now ordered a second of the same aerosol can thinking the first was not the correct mix, however the second can is just as wrong as the first. My car’s color is Magic Blue Pearl, Volvo code 467, and the formula for the 2 aerosol cans I received are as follows:
6B-4979365-410545-B
Can 1
Strong black DM500 - 53.7
Blue pearl PT13 - 1.2
Lilac pearl PT15 - 0.9
HS graphite DM546 - 0.8
White Mica PT29 - 0.9
Basecoat FL DM623 - 60.3
Can 2
Strong black DM500 - 53.6
Blue pearl PT13 - 1.2
Lilac pearl PT15 - 0.8
HS graphite DM546 - 0.8
White Mica PT29 - 0.9
Basecoat FL DM623 - 63.3
Neither of these are producing the right color. Can anyone tell me what the proper color formula should be for Volvo 467?
Volvo paint color formula correct?

do you live in a city or close that might have an auto body jobber store, not a parts store but a place that supply's auto body shops?

Thanks Jay, do you mean like a Fisher Auto Parts? There are a few nearby.

The problem you have with those type of places is they may carry some paint lines and supplies that they can order in but they are not a dedicated paint jobber. An automotive paint jobber is just about paint and has the knowledge, cataloging and equipment to not only just look up your code and the variants on it but can "scan" something you could bring to them, say like a gas flap from the car to get a more exacting match. Even my plain old "white" Hyundai Santa Fe had 6 variants on that white.....
