I have some old white spoke wheels that I had sand blasted and have epoxy primed. Because they sat for a little while, I wet sanded with 400 but have some minor surface rust in the crevices.

I thought about using the vinegar method to remove but wanted to get some thoughts here. I don’t want re sand blast the wheel.

I can post a pic.

I use a rust remover such as Evaporust for things like that.
It's not acidic and safe to handle.
It's much better and faster than vinegar.

Yeah, Evaporust.......we use it a lot in historical metal restorations. Very easy to use and control.....with vinegar you wait, and wait, and wait......

Evaporust. Yes, should have thought about that.

Since it is a small(TINY) line around the wheel, can I just base coat with white, making sure I get extra coverage there or do I need to re-epoxy that area?

What do I need to do to neutralize the evaporust?

Nothing, Evaporust is not an acid so you just wash off with water or just let just dry on the metal.
