Holy firehoses, Paintman! You planning on using that to pave your driveway?

If you need to put it on that thick you need to have a serious talk with your panel beaters.

This is where you should be, after primer.

Seriously, how to you find that gun for primer? I have two in 1.3mm which I really like and thinking about adding a 1.8mm and/or a 2.5mm to the collection.

4 coats. Hail damage. Did not feel like glazing the whole hood. Just for a buddy’s Jeep it will get beat up. 4 mil DFT per coat is more normal. I’ll mil it again after I block it out.

I love the 3.0 for poly. The way I look at it is if you don’t need to hose it on you don’t really need poly lol

Okay, now the thickness makes sense. I was finding it hard to believe a 3.0 tip would lay it on that heavy.

I usually spray G2 with 1.8 tip and have to thin it slightly to do so. 3-4 coats and then block sand but I doubt I'm anywhere near the thickness you have.
