Hello Autobody101
I am new here my name is Tony, I am restoring a 1970 AMC Javelin and have some questions I hope to find answers to. I need to re-bond my hood to the under structure most of the factory bonding has come loose or is missing, can a solid panel bonding material like SEM #39747 two part universal panel bond be used for this repair? Does the bonding material have to be flexible for this application or can it be solid?

Thanks

Tony

I used this: 3M 04274 NVH Dampening Material - 200 ml on my 1968 GTX hood (see projects section) and it worked great.

Bought it on Amazon but you might find it cheaper somewhere else.

Thanks for the reply, I already have the SEM adhesive, does it make a difference if the bond is rigid or flexible?
