Hey folks,

A tree fell across the roof of my Cherokee this week. I’ve done light body work, but never anything of this caliber. Is there any hope in working this damage out? Or am I better off having the roof replaced?

Anything can be repaired but that is going to be very labor intensive, More than the truck is worth in my opinion, Just me But I would call it totaled.
The glass will need to be removed and It will require some pulls to get started, The metal under the drip rail will be difficult to deal with as well.

I appreciate the feedback. I figured this would be a bear to deal with, but wanted someone with experience to verify. I’m not ruling out totaling, but it’s a pretty hard to replace build. I might visit some local shops try to pry out some estimates from them. $2k-ish is in the realm of consideration, anything beyond that will probably have me looking for a new one.

I wouldn't even try to fix that. But, replacing the whole turret, cutting off half way up the pillars would be possible if you could get a good, second hand one.

Less than $2K? I'd doubt it, but there would be a lot less labour than trying to straighten that mess.

Talk to some local shops and see what they say.
