You should be able to open your .pdf file and then take a Snapshot of the text you want to post. That makes it am IMG file which is allowed.

Yeah, that's what I do....just convert it to another format. Only problem you might run into is a "read only" archive that might have some type of encryption on it stopping you from doing the snapshot. I run into that a lot with protected historical information.

Download and then host somewhere that doesn't require a password to access.

Sometimes things are available elsewhere. For example, Axalta require login to access TDS on their sites but their distributors have them openly available. When I couldn't be bothered (as in can't remember the login :knockout: ) I just go to the New Zealand distributor site, since they have almost exactly the same range as is available here in Australia.
