I have sanded my primer surfacer to metal in 5 or 6 spots the size of nickels and quarters.
Can I use a 1k etching primer in a rattle can and spot primer before sealer?

I would etch prime with the rattle can then shoot my sealer. better yet would be etch and then some of your primer surfacer. usually bare spots mean hi spots you might want to put 2-3 coats of the primer surfacer on then guide coat and block you may have to bump those spots down. In all reality you could just spray your sealer over the bare spots BUT I would worry that it might swell the edges of the primer, unlikely BUT
