Hello everyone.

I am just about to start painting some small items with base/clear when i notice that im all out of mech filters. Is there anything else i can use to strain the paint? I was thinking coffe filters but suspect it will just clog up.

Really want to paint today since i will go away with work for a week but maybe i should just wait?

i'm not a coffee drinker but you might try one. I do know that about 90% of the time I HAVE NOT used a filter I've had problems. I try to always use them now.

I would wait until you have the correct screened funnel for straining your paint.
Shortcuts almost always turn into a longer less satisfying way to go.

Ask the missus for a pair of old stockings or pantyhose.

If you cut them right you can stretch over the top of the cup with a bit of sag in the middle.

Works quite well.
