How long to cure K38

So I am a home brew guy painting out of my garage, restoring a 67 Chevelle

looking for advice on K38 primer surfacer full cure and shrink

assuming normal 70F deg temps

how long should I wait before topcoat, any advantage to wait months??? or ?? I'm in no hurray but want to make sure I don't have paint cracks later..

What has anyone experienced??

Depends upon your application.
Generally most of your build primer should end up on the shop floor through the block sanding process.

I guess what I am after is that is there any benefit of waiting for months after K38, i.e. when would all the shrinking be done??? as I don't have to push it

I use to use K38 on kit cars in past years. Bodies just got so hack that I had to step up to thicker poly surfacers. I use to give it a week back then. Never had any problems with it doing it like that. I think waiting months....not really needed....
