I had a minor accident in my 2013 red silverado i have had since new. I nee a left front fender, headlight, and corner chrome bumper. I have a 1000 dollar deductible. I am getting quotes to day but i have a salvage yard south of me that has all of the parts also from a red truck. May be a 2010.

Question, if same paint code would the fender exactly match? If it would work i could do all of it myself.

Thanks for your help!

Hard to say for sure but I would suspect some fading after 9 years.
Take a part with you and see if it looks close enough.

match EXACTLY probably not, close maybe. could you change it your self, maybe if you can change a flat tire and change your oil you should be able to change a front fender.
if you run into something you can't handle go to you local body shop an ask how do this?

I know there will be fading, but will that fading match any the truck has if that makes sense.
Will a junkyard fender be comparable to a repainted body shop fender?

I am a mechanic so i know i can replace the fender. Its the color/paint i am woreied about

It's not just the fading you need to consider, it's the paint itself.
Most auto paints have alternates, depending on where and when it was
painted by the mfg. they can vary a little.
And if you want to repaint and get a good match, then the hood and adjoining door
will have to be blended and cleared too.
You can't paint up to an existing panel with new paint and expect a perfect match.

(It's not custom painting-it's custom sanding)
