Hello all

I'm in the need of some tips from you guys.

Someone of the previous owners have sprayed the "diffuser" on my cls black. Not a problem with the diffuser being black but they also sprayed in the area around the diffuser which is now peeling. See pics.

There seem to be no sanding or other prepwork done so the black sits on top of the clear.

I would like to avoid removing the diffuser since it's help with double sided tape of the harder kind. Anyone have any tips on how to remove the black paint without damaging the paint underneath?

I've already tried scraping with razorblade and waffle microfiber towel without any real success.

Remove the bar, separate the diffuser and sand back that step. Respray black to hide those horrible big gaps.

Haha ;)

The pressure washer led me to find this poor paint job in the first place so I've already tried that one.
