I just shot a clear PPG DCU2021 and right after one heavy coat looked at my work bench and saw I did not but in the hardner. What can I do now?
Thanks

Car look great other then that.

I'm sorry and I know you don't want to hear this but I agree with Pardue. It's got to come off. :(

I'm not an expert, but have you talk with the PPG rep? I can not believe that this has not happened many times before. What does PPG suggest? Do they have a method to chemically remove the clearcoat with out damaging the base coat in this situation?

Just my 2 cents and good luck with your project. Also, keep us posted on what you finally do, I would like to know.

Best regards
Stacey

The PPG rep say's to let it set up for a few days and then to lightly sand it with 800 grit and reshoot the clear.

The best thing to do is mix up more clear with 1/3 extra hardner and
shoot a coat over the clear with no hardner, as long as the first coat of
no activator clear was still wet. This will help it cure. I cannot imagine
clear getting hard enough to work over with out activator(hardner).
I would not spray a full wet coat...merely a tack coat to help cure the
clear...then let dry a long time before recoat. (like a week @ 80 degrees)
