So I’m doing a full restoration on my 1987 bmw e30 , I have done the welding and have applied some fibreglass , should I have laid epoxy primer before body work or can I apply it after the body work?

The preferred method is epoxy first, but you won't go up in flames if you don't. main thing is CLEAN metal. interested in what your using the fiberglass on, pictures maybe?

I used fibreglass over the welds after they were grinded down this is my first attempt at doing a complete restoration.

I will post some pics when I get home , reason for fibreglass in my own thought process was strength over regular body fill , I have a lot to learn , but that’s why I’m on here.
