Hey guys. I'm kind of confused about all these paint types. I'm just trying to get an OEM honda paint color. YR528M is the code if that helps any. All these laquer, urethane, enamel... But which one is the one recommended just for painting a honda civic?

And when using an HVLP gun how far away from the panel do I spray? I've heard 8-10 inches and also have heard 2-4 inches. When we sprayed my friends car we did it about 12 inches away and it had teeeerriiible dryness to it. Very coarse and i'm trying to avoid that . I read in the basics ebook that it should be held 8-10 inches btu I dont know if thats referring to a specific paint type or whatnot.

Oh and lastly how much BC and CC and primer would I need to paint a compact car. 92 civic hatchback to be exact.
