Hi everybody
I am using an airbrush (paashe h with largest nozzle) to spray 2k clear over acrylic paint.
Every time i spray it i get fisheye while i am spraying.
I tried an electric spray gun and the clear layed smoothly without any imperfections,so what is the cause ?
I attached a pic for a cup as a sample

there are many many things that can cause fish eyes. to really help you solve this problem you need to list everything you did step by step from the time you started. years ago i had a problem with fish eyes. i use to mix a quart of S/S primer in a jar when i had a project. but everywhere i used the primer i had fish eyes. i finally traced it to the paper seal in the lid, it had wax on it. the primer dissolved the wax into its self and caused the fish eyes. you have some sort of contamination, it can be in your materials, on your project, in your equipment, or air born. actually that cup could have some sort of sealant on the paper so it doesn't absorb liquids, that's causing the problem there on the cup. useing this type of thing to mix products in is risky, use a regular plastic mixing cup. another thing after rereading your post is that you don't have fish eyes, rather its possibly poor atomization of the clear out of the airbrush. try a spot and apply the clear real wet so that it goes on smoot and see if the problem appears. you also say you didn't have the problem with the electric gun, SO this makes me think its in your air delivery system.

Thanks for the reply,i tried getting it wet as you said and still got the same problem,i also tried it with another airbrush and got the same problem.so its not the clear or the airbrush issue, what might me wrong with the air delivery system ? Which part exactly ?

What type of filtration system to you have on your air supply?
Contaminants can come directly from the compressor.

what type of trap are we talking about? those little compressors get hot and create considerable moisture you did drain the tank regularly? did you ever have an oiler connected to that hose?
