so i picked up a 20$ lowes mailbox one of the pre painted black ones..
now i seen a youtube video guy took red scrotch brite and scruffed it up good
then applied his base and clear not sure what brand of paint etc i think it was upol clear though..
so would this be the way to go or just shoot the thing with the 2k primer i have then paint it?
i want to replace my mail box but kind of advertise i can custom paint them..
ive got an idea of a pearl candy green im going to use its a tamco product..
just was going to double check and see if that way would be an okay way to paint it or not
lowes mailbox

I'd prime it first. Who knows what kind of paint is on it. Prep with red Scotchbrite is ok here, under the primer.
Never use red Scotch under basecoat, especially metallic or pearl. The scratching will show through. Chris

Primer would be good, a sealer, or primer sealer, even better! Who knows what's on that mailbox!
