yesterday i did the under side of my hood and edge around the opening i used S-I universal clear. when i mix the clear i thought the can said 4-1 everything is 4-1, WELL its 1-1. its drying but not real hard yet, i can mark it with my fingernail. what do you think IS IT GOING TO GET HARD. i feel real stupid ! :whoops: :whoops: :whoops:

It will harden up but it'll be brittle.

checked it tonight and its getting harder, another day or two it'll be so hard a cat couldn't scratch it. :happy: :happy: :happy:

Jay, I'd leave it for a few days then blow 2 coats (at the right mix) over the top. What's on there now will crack at the slightest touch. Or you can remove it and do again.....

Wouldn't 4:1 for universal make it stay soft?
After all, that's only 1/4th the activator needed. :knockout:

ME TOO.^^ i think a couple days more and it should be good. i need to contact cement a rubber seal around the edge of the opening so want it to firm up good. i've done this before :whoops: and its always hardened up. i noticed it not spraying good like it always did, had to put it on real wet to get it smooth. i should have stopped and checked what was going on. getting old and senile i guess.
