Hello, I made this account to find some help from someone who knows paint / bodywork.

I want to swap out the bumper on my car with one from another car that's the exact same year/model and has the same factory paint code. My rear bumper is all scratched/cracked and I found the same car at a junk yard that looks much better. So If I just swap them out will it match and look even? The cars appear to have been in same conditions both on the west coast and both look like they were parked out in the sun.

Does any one know if it will look right and match? My main concern is if the fading will be even or if you will be able to tell a difference at all.

Thanks

You really won't know until you buy it and compare. Honestly, factories don't always get the "plastics" exactly matched on vehicles in the first place.....

You can always buff it out to restore the gloss...
