Hi guys, I wet sanded thru my new paint job on my roof so I need to touch up the area and reclear the roof and both rear quarters, I've been wet sanding with 1000 to prep for the new clear, my question is I've never shot clear on clear before and I was worried about water spots from the wet sanding, how do you prep the panels before you spray the new clear, am I thinking to much into this? I just don't want to screw this up, thanks

This is what I do:
Wetsand and wipe excess off. Wash with detergent and water, then rinse well. Dry with a clean chamois that is never used on polished or waxed surfaces. Allow to fully dry, use clean air if needed to blow out joints etc. Clean with 50:50 alcohol:water mix, lightly sprayed on and wiped off immediately with very clean cloth. Mask. If you're not a careful masker and touch panels during the process then at this point you may need to lightly Prepsol, followed by another clean with the alcohol/water mix. Tack and blow. Paint. Cleanliness is everything. Chris
