As anticipated by OP, I would try to do it in one go, as well.

Sometimes it's possible to do the roof separately and in this case would be possible with some clever masking at the top,not bottom, of the C pillar. Very careful and accurate fly masking would do it, but you only get one go.

Otherwise, as above, start in the rear LH corner and move around the car.

There is actually a panel joint on the bottom of c-pillar covered by the chrome trim piece. I chose to weld it up and smooth it out because of previous bad welding when the previous owner replaced both quarterpanels.
This is how it originally looks like (not my car)

Because you will always see a tape line in an inside corner, but, using fly masking, it can be hidden on an outside corner.

I see.. I’ll probably paint the roof, c-pillars and quarter panels in one go. I think I’ll pull of the trunk lid again and place that on a stand.
I did plan to make an inner edge tape line between the trunk lid and rear window frame as well.. :oops:

Just me but I would shoot it all at once starting with the Roof with a Step latter like Jim Posted. Were a Tyvek suit and Booty socks for over your shoes.
Get a helper to watch you and help keep your hose untangled and off car while you spray.
Go slow take your time don't rush! its not a race! just keep a wet edge to follow. remember flash times use a Timer!!!!! to force you to keep to your flash times and remember they are just a general Guide! a little longer is not bad, too soon is bad as you can trap solvents!

Once you get going you'll see It will go good, I remember doing my 41 Ford sedan I was all freaked out about doing its roof in single stage black.
I made up this huge stand to lay on to spray the roof it turned out to be a total waist of time and money to make it! totally unusable! In the end it was the Quarter panel sides I had problems with during the Cut and buff.

Clean your Shop! wash floors, blow off walls & sealing with blow gun, Mask car to the floor.

So I finally did it. Painted the car complete exept for the trunk lid and hood.
Trunk lid painted previously. Hood will be next.
Happy with the result. The finish is a litle on the peely side, but I got no runs. Also very litle dust nibs. Some on the roof as expected.

With a litle cut and buff, I think it will turn out great. :goodjob:

If I was to put clear coat over the single stage paint, I would need to scuff first right?
Would P1000 Mirka abralon discs work for this? What to do if i scuff trough the SS?
