I plan to get my '65 Mustang coupe media based (crushed glass), then taken directly for epoxy primer. I covered various pieces of bare metal with phosphoric acid to inhibit rust while I replaced metal, specifically the metal prep from Master Series. Does media blasting remove the phosphoric acid? If not, I will coat all the areas that I covered with PA with master series silver. Thanks

Media blasting removes anything on the surface of the metal if it is done properly.
Epoxy primer is what you want first on any bare metal.

Perfect, thank you.
This is my first restoration. If I had to do it over again, I would have media blasted it first, put it in epoxy primer, then replaced metal. Will know better for the next one.

just a tip, i would quickly go over the surface by hand with some 180 or so, a scratch pad might work also. just rub it lightly with your hand. this is to remove any glass residue that gets imbedded into the metal. try this, rub your hand on the surface after the blasting then do it after you lightly rub it with some paper, feel the difference. it may be slight with glass we use sand here and it very noticeable. its just an idea that i do.
