Dennis, we need to put our heads together sometime. i did some cad plating, worked good at first then it went bad. i just don't know what i did wrong, it was my first attempt at this. i was doing some small parts and all of a sudden i got black specks on my parts and then no transfer. we'll have to talk sometime.

I'll take a picture of the parts and post it tomorrow.
The 1968 GTX tail panel and tail lights are a 1 year only production item. Made of pot metal, chromed and then insets painted with a textured Dark Argent silver paint. (They are not the same as the Roadrunners or other Plymouth models.) My original tail panel was extremely corroded and had a hole in it, so I bought a better quality used one to restore. The issue is with the tail light bezels. I recently saw a set that had been restored for sale but they want $650 just for the bezels. I have been looking for somebody that sells the reproduction tail panel and lights but having no luck. Thus the idea of trying to restore them myself. 1968 Coronet R/T

Here's a couple of pictures of one of the bezels.
You can see some pitting and flaking in spots. I am hoping to get these areas sanded and repaired. Note the chrome is mainly on the raised edges and ends. This end goes toward the trunk panel and has more severe pitting, it is mainly visible when the trunk is open. Here's the tail panel I purchased. It is much better than my original which has heavy pitting and a hole. 1968 Coronet R/T
