I was pretty paranoid with regard to my current project. It's been a long time since I've refinished the amount of steel that's on my car (almost all or my daily painting is aircraft fabric work) Doright was very helpful in his advice. The stuff works well, my major concern is the no see-em rust, I wanted it neutralized. I also wanted protection for the time the car had to sit naked, so I'd say keep the stuff. It's useful.
In addition, a month later I had a time slot to shoot cre, so I spoke with the ppg rep his advice was to sand it all off as it was meant to be top coated in a short time frame.
I don't regret using the conditioner system as I feel it protected the naked steel, I also have faith it worked on the no see em rust (blasting everything wasn't an option).
So surface sanded prepped and painted it same day with performance coatings cre, I'm happy with the results.
You'll likely have an application for it sooner or later.
