This what I would do!

DO NOT PUT ETCH anything on anything other than Bare metal and also stay away from Rattle can ANYTHING!

Also some of those welds in your pics look like Dog poop I would grind them down and lay some nice welds over the top of them then dress them then out then Paint with Epoxy IF you go this rout Media blast first as you do not want any sort of paint dirt grease or anything else in your welds.

i do a lot of motorcycle, atv stuff. you should see if you can fine someone to sand blast all that crap off and start with a coat of epoxy then your color you can do this in one setting or one day or when the epoxy is ready for a recoat NO sanding required. shop Ebay for a DETAIL GUN. i prefer the suction type seems to be much easier to get around all the tubing.

Ill do just that. Bummed about the hubs as they look good but won't last in sun light. I don't think it will be too much to have someone blast a bike frame..

I redo Factory welds all the Time.
I too would Blast off everything off of it as well start over.

It’s a 1975 Kawasaki F7C.

My uncle bought it new and gave it to me when I was a kid. My first bike.

Nice little Bike
I had a KD100 when I was a kid.
A lot of these older mini bikes are worth a small fortune now restored as people try to remember their youth. Look at Honda CT70s H models I have seen nice originals restored going for $3K and up. The market for them is very strong.
