Not sure if this is the correct section but here I go. I have a 2006 Toyota Matrix.

The body shop I used is C & D Auto Service in College park MD. The estimate they gave me was $1,124.00 (us. dollars) is the estimate to fix this: (general bumper damage from a coworker who lightly hit the back of my car "as a joke").

-Am I being ripped off or is this a reasonable price?

It shouldn't cost you anything. The co-worker should be paying this bill.

complicated long story short but

#1. Didn't notice this dent scratch until a year later. At the time I yelled at this jackass but didn't see the damage until I was in the sunlight many months/a year later

#2. We've had other problems with this guy at the company and he got removed soon after.

Maybe I could try to track this guy down. BUT you think this is a reasonable estimate or no?

-thx

Get other estimates and see.
There are plenty of hobbyist out there like me
that are much cheaper. Ask around and you might
find one in your area, I typically do a lot of bumpers and charge
a third of what a body shop does.
And I've been doing it for over 40 yrs.

:goodpost: YEP i'd do that for around 400-500. the shop price is really not that bad for a shop price. you can't get them to look at your car for 1000.00 anymore.

If you are looking for a local guy as JC mentioned try and hit a Saturday morning Cars and Coffee in your area. I go to those now and then and we talk "paint" a lot. There is always a guy that knows a guy that's doing pretty great work at reasonable prices....
