A few questions about sealer ?

Im new to painting but taking it serious so my main question is ..i understand people spray base without ever having to sand the sealer so what im trying to figure out is if it sprays on like crazy smooth or has a little roughness to it

i can spray sealer to run like a waterfall, look like an orange, or smooth as glass. all depends on how the guns set up and how im moving. |

It's usually a real thin product that allows it to be sprayed on smooth
and slick quite easily. JC.
