Im in Canada so prices of these guns for 220ml cartridges is insane.
The product I can get is Norton Speed Grip,2:1 epoxy, assuming volume mix.
I could see modifying a $5 caulk gun but couldn't I just push out 50ml of A and 25ml of B? Mix and apply?. Ive built small boats before and used scales to mix epoxy. Never had a problem.
Panel bond applicator gun

I don't see why you couldn't do that, as long as you mix it properly. on some of these the work time is fairly short, so have everything ready. my auto body jobber here has loners that they loan out for us DIY people.

Yeah, so I get tired of paying over inflated pricing for both the panel bond and those guns awhile back.... I did in shop testing comparing our marine grade epoxys mixed with carbosil/cermaic micro ballons and found my stuff was every bit as good as what I could buy.... So application? Check out the empty carts you can fill and pitch here.... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=fillable+cau ... _sb_noss_1 We just use our optional slow hardener slam up a tube and off you go. Pitch when done or clean and soak in acetone if you wan to reuse.... Oh, almost forgot, if you want to do smaller amounts consider large animal syringes.... https://www.amazon.com/Measuring-Indivi ... C96&sr=8-5

Yeah some over priced stuff for sure.Im doing patch panels for rear wheel arches on a 07 GM truck. My boat epoxy would work on something that doesn't need to be painted, dont think I would risk it for what Im doing. |

As long as you get the Mix ratio right yes you can do this. I do this myself for stuff that requires special guns, before I broke down and bought one. Dennis B.
