Hi
The TDS for my epoxy primer doesn't mention what heat ranges it can handle. All I know is that it can be baked at 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius over here).
Anyone have any advice / experience with using epoxy primer on engine bay components....in this case a steel Saginaw power steering reservoir that's mounted with the pulleys at front of engine.
I dont actually know how hot it would get? Quick google search seems to indicate under 200 farenheit for the power steering pump.
Regards
Adam

I use epoxy primer on engine components. I'm sure they will withstand the stuff in the engine compartment.

I've just done this one. Epoxy primer with 2K Direct Gloss over the top.
Do them all this way and never had a problem. Chris

I use s/s urathane, B/C and enamel. on engines all the time. a typical engine will rarely get over 200F. if you have a heat gun check a black car out in the sun sometime, it will be near that. that power steering tank will be lucky if it hits 120 or so on a hot day this is the engine out of my hotrod its B/C the quad is S/S urathane.
