All completed painting, finished with the body shell today. not sounding boastfull here just thrilled with the results. it all came out excellent!

4 coats base/4 coats clear. plenty of clear so no worries at wet sanding. I say 4 coats base white, probably 3 coats to a pro as my first coat was light and not covering the primer. the clear is 4 good strong coats though.

so not only folks here, but I googled painting white and all said painting white is the most difficult! I can see why some would, but I had zero issues spraying the cameo white. zero runs, overlapping was not a problem, even color coat. just watch for the wetting as you go and I found it no problem.

anyhoot, so happy to have the paint complete. from here forward assembling the car etc is the part I enjoy. bought the car in 2015, what a journey. new quarters, lots of rust repair and more. did 100% myself.

looks great glad your having a good time with it, the only thing i can say for sure about white is it is one of the hardest colors to panel paint (meaning paint the fender bolt it on and its a dead match) think new car collision work ,but it is the easiest to blend i bet you could be 3 shades off and get away with a blend on white it is very forgiving that way. What part of KS are you from i also live in the sunflower state??
