What qualities would you consider important in a classification of "best"?

Here are a few, just for starters:

- Low susceptibility to air bubbles
- Easy application
- Extended setup time
- Smooth consistency
- Rapid hardening
- Low sandiness (European fillers tend to be smoother then American ones which I find very sandy)
- Low waxiness on surface after curing
- Easy sanding
- Ability to be sanded to very smooth finish
- Price or value for money
- Suitability for size of job
- Ability to bond to but move with the metal in temperature variations
- Flexibility
- Nice colours on the tin

You forgot how it smells.
(My wife always comments on how good my garage smells
when working with body filler)

(It's not custom painting-it's custom sanding)

A lot of shops around here use Evercoat Rage which runs about $125 a gallon. For comparison USC Feather-rite is about $36 a gallon. Honestly once applied, primed, and painted both will look identical.

As stated earlier, personal opinions will differ so don't expect any definitive answer to your question.

I like 3M Marson Platinum 01171. Meets most of the qualifications listed above.

Evercoat has just gotten outrageous on pricing lately. Switched over to USC lighweight filler, 2 gallon packs delivered to my door for $79. I think we like it better than Rage, incredible filler for the pricing....

Which one?
Feather-Rite Lightweight USC-21330 or Special Lite Lightweight Filler USC-15310?

And does it work with Evercoat Plastik Honey?

Yeah, it's the 15310 and pricing fell even a little lower on it... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0082LKGNA/?c ... _lig_dp_it And yes, we use that Evercoat Honey with it all the time. Oh, and USC does have their version of that honey as well.... https://www.amazon.com/U-S-Chemical-Pla ... C91&sr=8-1
