Oh! That's why I came here. Not deformed on the inside. Thanks.

If there are not scratches or cracks in the paint, you might try someone who does Paintless Dent Repair (PDR).

You can try it yourself by removing the taillight housing and applying pressure from the backside, however it takes real skill to not crack the paint or deform the metal.

can't see with the bed rail cap on BUT were the bed rail makes a 90* bend then the side forms up and over the bend is going to be a real difficult job. one other option is to search wrecking yards and see if you can find a damaged box that they are willing to cut that corner off of. then the job of put it in yours, its not really difficult if you have good welding skills. if i had the replacement piece i could do that job quicker than you can pull or push it out.

Yep, If there's any chance to pop this out I'm not going to attempt. Thanks very much for the input.

A dent like that has stretched the metal,
unless you can shrink the metal ( a good metal guy can)
you'll have an "outee" once pulled instead of the "innee"
you have now.
It'll have to be stripped pulled and filled.
A lot of work. I've done a few like that.

I found a 25 year old 'kid' who fixed this for me in his backyard shop. He works full time at the local BMW dealership doing nothing but aluminum work. Did a fantastic job. Pulled the dent, welded, filled, panted entire side. Like new. Neat young man with master skills.
