I have sprayed epoxy primer with the HF purple gun with a 1.4 tip with satisfactory results. I plan on eventually spraying thinned epoxy when I am done blocking to 600 grit. Would a smaller tip (1.3) work better for thinned epoxy? I plan on shooting through a better gun as well.
Thanks
Drew

I've always used a 1.4.
Don't see any advantage going to a 1.3. I doubt you'll see much of a difference when using epoxy thinned down to a seal coat. JC.

what does the TDS on the product your using say to use for the tip size on the gun?

1.4 to 1.8, but it doesn't say anything about thinned epoxy. I assumed that a smaller tip would be OK for thinned product. |
