Jay, I have no idea and don't really believe any of their advertised specs. But they do work great and are bright.

I first installed a set of 10 of them on the ceiling of my little plastic spray booth then ordered another set and ran three more down each side a little lower. I still have four more in the box and when I take the booth apart, I will store all the lights with the booth PVC.

The extra lights down lower help quite a bit.

I replaced my florescent bulbs with LED 5000k Frosted bulbs.
The 5000k gives a "daylight" brightness and the frosted bulbs remove seeing spots from the LED nodes.

The technology advances and some bulbs you can just plug into your fixture and go. I think I had to disconnect the ballast on the longer fixtures but it's been a while now so not sure if that is still necessary. Most sites selling them will list that information.

Jay
I looked at those But now I am looking at these for my shop lighting Florescent replacement Bulbs:
https://www.amazon.com/ONLYLUX-Fluoresc ... N7MR&psc=1

I am not sure yet haven't made up my mind yet, I have so many to replace I looked at the reviews seams like its hit or miss on how long they last for any of them....
If they are anything like the House incandescent LED bulb replacement bulbs were all in trouble.

I do have a 3 8 footers I bought from Home depot I bought to put over my work benches and they are super bright and I havnt had any problems from them but they were $100 each. I need far to many for the rest of the shop to pay that much for them.

Yes, i thought about the bulbs. but i want to use the old T5 fixtures to replace some T12s in my other garages that don't get turned on much. my main idea here is to lower my utility bill. :knockout: i use about 1500w now, if i go to the LED fixture I'll be at about 600w thats a savings of 900w. my paint room thats now an assembly room for the street rod has 4, 8' T12s 8 bulbs at apox. 100w ea. or 800w. I'll replace those with 4 of the LED fixtures and save 400w.this could be a saving of around 1300w total. these are lights that are on most of the time I'm out there, and I'm out there a lot. i'll do the same thing in my prep room if and when the kid gets his 4x4 truck out of here

I myself have T12 Bulbs In dual fixtures meaning 2 8 foot long bulbs per light assembly and I have 13 light assembly's or 26 Bulbs to buy myself. Not including my Paint booth lighting that needs the same light rebuild. I wanna say It has 24 4 foot lights.

So ya I am not looking at chump change to go LED
I personally think the BS being forced to go to LED is complete government over reach and a BUNCH of BS myself and should be 100% Tax deductible. especially when it was forced on us.

I never really realized this, but the T12s make a lot of noise. like i said i never noticed it until i installed my T5s they make no noise at all. its amazing that the noise is not there now, so quiet.
