Just bought a car on Ebay, noticing more rust than I thought. No doubt some will have to be cut & welded. Im new to all this, but I wanted to know if there was some sanding and painting I can to to prevent the minor rust area from getting worse. I dont mind sanding by hand, but I wouldnt mind learning of some basic sanding tools to strip away some of the minor rust. Also, is there something I can spray onto the area when I am done sanding. I have an old Iwata airgun somewhere, but maybe even something in a can, just to protect the area until next summer (and a hopeful new paint job). Simply put, what can I do with minimal tools to prevent rust in all areas from getting worse? Do rust inhibitors work? Thanks
