Why is a gravity fed gun better than a siphon gun? I have the latter.

I don't know if it's better, it's more what you like. I'm a gravity man myself. A gravity gun just feels right to me. I think you can get better angles of spray out of one.

How about a separate spray pot and gun. My impression is that it is lighter over all, and you can truly spray in all directions with it. What are your thoughts/recommendations on turbine driven systems?

I have a gun w/separate pot. 2 quart. It's good when you have to paint upside down. But unless I need it I don't use it. Turbine driven systems, are nice, if they are of good quality. But I learned with a gravity gun and still use one today.
