Hi,

1st, I am glad I found this board. 8)

I was in the process of painting my car (winter mode) with a gallon of Tremclad (or any generic antirust paint from home depot...in case Tremclad is a Canadian only brand) antirust paint. I am not new to basics of painting a car, but I am new to using this kind of paint.

I was wondering...Should I use any kind of hardener or paint thinner with the paint ? They are no recommandation regarding this on the can so they do not suggest it, but I am using the paint on an automobile.

I am 95% sure not to use any kind of hardener, but i wonder if I should dilute the paint.

Would this affect the paint shine ? (it is a flat color paint)

thanks

Patrick
