This is my first post to the forum so be gentle guys. I'm restoring my 69 GTO conv. and right now I'm at the point where I'm ready to take the body off the frame. My question: Should I replace the floor pan and repair the 1/4s before or after I take the body off and put on a rotisserie. I know it's easier to get at certain items on a rotisserie but is is easier lining up the panels if I leave it on the frame? TIA

PS. Great forum guys. Lots of knowledge here 8)

Welcome first of all!

I think the panels line up better if you put them on first. Just my opinion but without bracing the body before removing it from the frame I would be scared.

I intend to brace the body to prevent "flexing". I want to put the braces on the inside of the door opening not in the door opening but just inside to allow test fitting the door at a later date. Has anyone else done something like this. Pics? Also what should the braces be made out of?Is 1" tube steel @.065" thickness o.k.? TIA
