I have done as little as a Half inch for a very small repair, with yours I think you should have at least an inch maybe inch and a Half that's a Big repair panel.

Keep in mind this repair method is frowned upon by most technicians and when I say most its like 99%!

When it first came out many were skeptical till manufactures started using it.
Then When I seen it actually used on Aircraft that's when I took notice. (Jets are my thing.)

Fokker used the stuff to assemble the fuselages, It was used as a fastener as well as a sealant all in one shot ingenious really.
Any way The stuff has its place in the repair world it is an option when used correctly.

The good stuff is not cheap though plus you have to add cost of special guns special mixing tips , Not to mention the Additional Time for Fit up and Lay up which is critical in a good repair. you start adding it all up and the cost of a small Tig welder starts looking better and better.

Here is a machine with Hi freq start and Pulse for less than $500! Its a dam dream machine for a beginners I would have died for this machine when I first got into Tig welding now they make it. Used to be Hi freq start and Pulse only came on the Hi dollar units.

They have many other small Tigs some under $300
Everlast makes a Decent Machine I have one myself
Learning Tig is the Problem it does take some time to learn
