Almost forgot about this part. Do you guys have a trick for recreating a patch for this? Just cover over it with fiberglass? That would create a lot of sanding to shape it, no?

First pick...area above pink line is cover with a plastic panel.
Second pic..other (good) side of car..pink line is running through a plastic side skirt,,so as you can see I only have about a 3in x 10in section of rocker panel to fix. No, I can't buy a patch from the junk yard...not available.

Thanks for looking guys, appreciate it.
Bob

Thanks so much for the assistance 2ec...you have provided awesome info on my lame brain dealio here.
Notice my patch has 2 steps on it and they are radius formed rather than hard 90 degree bends. 2ec, can you recommend a nice 'lil economical brake press set-up for me? Something geared for the body shop that might include the most normally used dies. I don't even know if this type of equipment is available but I sure do seem to remember seeing something like this online once. I know aluminum siding guys have a brake they work with...anything available for us guys?

Thanks a lot for helping me,
Bob

That piece looks about exactly like what I need....how much will you take for it $ Haha!!
Your rig looks great but it is much too ambitious for me 2ec....nobody sells a nice little home hobbyist brake?

It took me lots of practice but still haven't fully mastered the art of metal fabrication but don't the the fancy tools the bigger fab. Shops had and had to create my own, good luck.
