Hi:
I'm trying to straighten and clean up this nose piece to an antique Heinkel motor scooter. It is a curved piece with a lipped edge that makes it hard for me to work. I have hammers and dollies and also a shrinker/stretcher, but the piece doesnt fit easily into it. I want to make the nose less of a bullet shape and more like a semicircle that transitions into straight sides.
I've gotten it symmetrical by gently hammering it against a buck I made. I don't know how to get it the rest of the way. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shawn

Your gonna need more than just a few Hammer and Dolly's and a Shrinker stretcher to pull that off.
You would have been better to start with fresh sheet. You'll need a big Stump with a bowl cut into it big non marring mallets and a English wheel and a Planishing Hammer would help a lot too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGQ7JKpMIs0 Dennis B.

Yeah, just cut out the offending metal, and replace it with a fabbed piece that fits your style. With your equip. it shouldn't be hard to do.
