Thanks for all the info again Dennis. I'd love to try try tig welding but the budget won't allow it yet. It looks like a lot more of an masterful art to me. I'm hoping when I complete this truck I will look at my options. In the meantime, you mention epoxying the backside of your welds. How about areas you can't reach very well? How do you do that? I've been trying to cut my patch panels with this always in mind. I'm still learning on technique. I'll typically shoot some Uphold Weld primer into areas that I'm welding to seal some metal but should I not somehow get epoxy back there after? I'm kind of up in the air with that one. Also, I've been reading that sometimes you guys also seal the backside of your welds with fiberglass too, to waterproof, after the epoxying? What would be steps that you take?

Depends on what is being repaired and what is in the way.

Some times you can cut out a small section of what is in the way only to reinstall it after the main repair. If it is structural I try to avoid this though.
