drilled through some roof joists. maybe shouldn't have?

everyone i've showed 'em to so far has said "probably won't be an issue" including my welder. so i guess i'll proceed putting my ceiling panels up without welding these 5/16" holes shut. i was drilling them for wire runs. thoughts? |
Are protecting the wires running through holes like this? Vibration could cut the wire insulation.

Structurally, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

i ended up not using them but i was gonna fit 'em with rubber grommets. |

Yes use rubber grommets OR Nylon bushings of some sort + a Good dab of Silicone. And no I don't think you've hurt structure to bad, Yes you could weld them too if you wanted but I wouldn't get too excited about it for those pictured. Dennis B.
