Getting rid of da scratches

Hello all i was hoping to get some advice so i just repainted my whole truck about 2 months ago its a 02 silverado regular cab stepside the color is indigo blue so im having a hard time with the hood i first sanded with da 2000wet got rid of all orange peel then i hit it with trizact 3000 da then i started cutting at 1400rpm with the white 3m foam pad and 3m cutting compund but in some areas i can still see some of the da swirl marks any way of getting those out? my plan was to buy a wool pad and try cutting with that instead any advice would be appropriated thank you.

Yep, just starting out with foam never seems to work for most people. Don't just get a wool pad, make sure it is twisted wool. A brand name like Lake Country would be even better.... Tip.... if you are seeing swirl marks from the Da they were probably caused by dirt/debris in your process.... make sure you are cleaning well between steps.....

Another thing about using a DA,
Don't go back and forth real fast
(like when you're manually block sanding)
The DA can't cancel out it's own swirls unless you move it slowly.
(All random orbital sanders also has that noted in the their instruction manual
and DA's are the same way)
No one ever seem to pay attention to that and then they wonder why
they get those long curly Q's. :mrgreen:
