I use 2 of the electric oil filled heaters ( look like the old steam radiators )in my shop . I have a propane 80,000 btu heater I'll fire up for quick warm up if need be but with the 2 heaters I'll leave them on all night when I get in shop next morn it's usually about 70 or better in there.

Fire up the furnace the night before you want to paint. Get the garage toasty warm for a couple of hours with the car in it. shut down the heat and paint. You;ll have a couple of hours before everything really cools off. Tarpig off an area will give you a better painting enviroment.
