Wet sanding my recent re clear job
im seeing what appears to be orange peel ...but after a lot of wet sanding p1500
i have these very small craters very close together that i cant seem to sand out.
Scared of breaking thru again.
At this point do i keep wet sanding 1500 and hope.
Or should i get out the 800 again and save some time and re do the job.
BTW i did do a test buff in the middle of the roof with 3m white foam pad and 3m
number 1 compound....it didnt look good....kinda cloudy.
Is this whats called solvent pop.....a few pics.
And some help would be awesome.

Hard to tell from the photos. You did re clear ?

Maybe sand down lightly with some 1000
And clear again.

When you reclear careful putting it on. It goes on a lot different on sanded clear than it does basecoat. 2 tack coats and a third wet coat. Make sure the clear is done being stringy to the touch at the last spot you cleared. If the part you cleared is not stringy and feels like the back of a piece of tape you will be Ok to start with your next coat. Those two tack coats will flow when you add that third wet coat. After that you should be able to dirt nib with 2000 and move up to some teizact 3000 on a DA and polish

Hard to tell from the pics you posted. Kinda looks like orange peel. And I can totally understand being worried about burning though.

Cloudy is normal after rubbing compound. Also. On edges u are kinda stuck and should look after the buff.
