"Law enforcement only" paint code detailing question

My question is if anyone has personal experience heavy detailing out a particular Ford paint code LK Dark Blue non metallic on a 2008 police interceptor. Not worried so much about finding touch up paint as with being too aggressive and burning it. Don't know if the "special" color code is the only dif or a different type formula. "New to me" car hesitation and all that... Any clues are welcome before I make a tiny test run on it.
