Long story short, I repainted this hood on my Mustang 93GT last spring after modifying it.
I had some heavy orange peel after spraying clear so I started wet sanding with 1000 grit and worked my way up to 2500.
After that I went with a compound pad combo I have used in the past but wasn't getting the
results I had hoped for, frustrated I left the hood that way drove the car for the summer .
Did some research and last week decided to attack it with some Menzerna 400 heavy cut
compound, Lake Country MF cutting pad on my cheap long throw DA.
All I have to say is WOW ! I was impressed, it removed all the wet sand scratches and haze and even finished nicely.
